Ebenezer Mar Thoma Church at East Fort under Kunnamkulam - Malabar Diocese, the sole Mar Thoma church in Thrissur town remains a powerful Christian presence in the cultural capital of Kerala.From a humble beginning with 13 families in 1904 the church comprises over 325 families residing in different parts of Thrissur. Under the able guidance of our vicar Rev. Jacob C Mathew, the church and its organizations work in unison for the spiritual edification of its members helping them practice Christian values in various aspects of their secular life.

The spiritual organizations of the church include the Sunday School with over 120 students, an active Yuvajana Sakhyam, Sevika Sangham, Edavaka Mission and the Church Choir. The organizations meet regularly every week and participate in implementing various programs for the benefit of its members and the community. The six prayer meetings also meet regularly in the houses of the members in their respective areas on every Sundays.

The secular institutions include the Parish Hall, the Mar Thoma Girls Higher Secondary School and Mar Thoma Students Centre which creatively respond to the needs of the region by providing quality services especially in the field of education. The Centre of Excellence for Development and Transformation(CEDAT), a centenary project of the church works for the needs of the under privileged sections of the society.

The church supports the Chirakkekkodu Chapel and the Ravi Varma Mandiram (old age home) by positively addressing their physical and spiritual needs from time to time.

Home of the home less, medical insurance and aid for the poor educational assistance for the deserving Medical Aid are few among the various projects the church successfully undertakes abiding the Christian Principles it teaches.
